“Do they still have football games? Okay, why can’t schools have one night when they sell the football tickets and all the proceeds go to the performing arts department. Like, just one night out of all the games they do every single- Just one! That would put on a school play! Just one night of a sold-out stadium. That’d easily put on a school play or some kind of painting class.
“I was very, very fortunate and I went to a school with an amazing performing arts department, and had I not had that outlet, I don’t know what would’ve happened to myself. I don’t know if I would have survived, really. It was really the only thing that I really had to look forward to, was that school play, that community theatre… Without it, I honestly do not know what would have happened. [When] programs get cut, I just fear for those kids ‘cause they’re gonna need some way to express themselves and some way to get all that energy out. Creative people need an outlet, and I just get so scared when school districts cut those things. Who knows what those kids are gonna find to release all that creative energy. I hope it’s healthy ways. I really do. God, that breaks my heart to hear that people are cutting arts programs when it’s so needed, especially these days.
Sept. 15, 2009 - Glee Cast USTREAM [x]
The cast did a USTREAM in the airport before leaving for Australia. There is no recording, but fans who watched it were able to capture the images above (and a few more, at the source).
The stream included Cory talking about being a Canucks fan, Kevin and Jenna wearing neck pillows, Dianna appearing briefly before spilling her drink, and the cast fielding marriage proposals from fans (Chris was excited to “finally” get proposals, Cory talked about not jumping into marriage too quickly). They also talked about looking forward to their Australia trip and meeting koalas/kangaroos.

tonight, chris was on chelsea lately again. he was more mature and confident, he talked about the immense impact he’s had on glee as well as his movie that he wrote and starred in, and he openly joked about going on a hot air balloon date and getting named OUT magazine’s #1 gay bachelor.
