mywholelie: so i was lucky enough to go to the struck by lightning screening last night and while i won’t say anything more about the movie, i will say that while i was there i ran into Roberto Aguirre, who plays Emilio in the film or…the one on the left in this picture… i saw him standing at the front so i went up and just quickly said a “Hi, you were awesome in the trailer. I can’t wait to...

Interviewer: And the response back home, what are they saying?
Chris: I think they're happy. I think they're proud. I think sometimes they get a little upset with me because I do talk about Clovis, California - where I'm from - as being a conservative town. But, I mean, I grew up there. It's always going to be home. They're proud of me. I know they are.
Interviewer: It seems like it was a solid background for performing arts.
Chris: It really was. I don't think I could've picked a better upbringing. And I was very, very fortunate because I went to a high school with an extraordinary performing arts department. We got to do two shows a year, we had a full orchestra with every musical, we had amazing sets. It was great to be a part of such a great performing arts academy.

Interviewer: A favourite ensemble song that you've done?
Chris: I loved - oh gosh, I don't know. It's like trying to pick my favourite bone in my body. They're all kind of important to me.

Chris: I know what it's like to be a duck in a swan-filled pond, if you will.
Interviewer: In what ways?
Chris: I was definitely an outsider when I was in high school. I was probably the only person that was serious about getting into theatre arts after high school. I was just very different from the rest.
Interviewer: And were you greeted warmly for being an outsider in your high school?
Chris: Not very warmly, no. No. I was definitely an outsider, and I was made sure that I knew I was an outsider.

Patrick Stump: WE LIKED YOU BETTER FAT:... →
nervousbreakdance: There’s this really nice piece at underthegunreview.net by Jacob Tender that a friend forwarded me today. It’s about how important Fall Out Boy’s album “From Under the Cork Tree,” was to him. After reading it though, nostalgic and well-written as it was, I really found myself more depressed than… Patrick Stump is without a doubt one of the most talented individuals...

tyleroakley asked: Okay, just wanted to make sure! He's a really great guy who does so much good in the world, I guess I'm just as defensive about him as you are about Chris - at least we both support people who are amazing and talented and good-spirited and beautiful :)

Anonymous asked: I don't think I've ever heard someone compare Darren to Chris. I feel like it'd be comparing apples and potatoes; the Harry Potter books and the Harry Potter films; any of the Glee seasons.

Anonymous asked: Really? John Green was kidding because Tyler Oakley is very vocal about his love for Darren Criss. He might be one of the most professional young adult novelists in the world today. Maybe pick up one of his reads. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

tyleroakley asked: I hope you don't judge someone based on who they're friends with... and it was BARELY throwing any shade at Chris. You just don't quite understand his sense of humor, I think. I highly recommend his books, they really are life changing! :)

Anonymous asked: I'm not sure to what extent you were joking about the commentary on your last reblog, but John Green's books are truly excellent and inspiring. One's personality, let alone writing style, cannot be determined by who they are friends with.

Interviewer: Who would you really love to have on the show that you haven't had yet?
Chris: For the two people in the back who don't know, I really want Julie Andrews to play my grandmother... Anyone that is a living legend, I would love to work with them.
Interviewer: What about Streisand?
Chris: Streisand? Well, she - I mean, Lea would kill me if she played, like... Grandma Hummel! You know, and Rachel's, like, not even there... But no, no, that's Lea's. We each get our own person to obsess about and that's hers.

– Chris Colfer the way he keeps going on about this [especially the way he groaned it out at NYF] makes me sad because it sounds like it’s something that actually would have pretty likely happened if the show was still going and that would have been so heartwrenching and perfect sigh
